This book is written to give basic information about the different techniques necessary to perform appropriate gynaecological ultrasound scan examinations. Short theoretical information about ultrasound physics, and the terminology used during scanning will be alluded to. The objective here is to help the reader, and hence the scan performer to understand the capability of the machine used, and the skills needed to acquired the best images. It is not meant to set any management plan for any specific condition, or any individual patient. I am here targeting gynaecologists who are just starting their ultrsound practice. More experienced performers may find it useful, as well.
